Formed in 1844, Maidstone Swimming Club is recognised as England's oldest competitive swimming organisation. Based in the heart of Kent at the County town's own leisure centre, not only do we boast an enviable record of swimming and diving achievements, but also an eye for future success.  We recognise our rich historical base - whilst aiming to nuture and develop tomorrow's swimming sensations.

 

We're fully affiliated to the ASA as well as holders of Swim 21 accreditation. We commit to providing a safe, effective quality service to every member, allowing them to reach their potential. Come join us today !


 


  • South East Masters Long Course Results 10th February
    2013_South_East_Masters_Long_CourseFour members of the Masters section of Maidstone Swimming Club picked up a relay Silver medal, and an individual Gold & Silver medal, at the recent South East long course championships held in Crawley.  Masters swimming caters for swimmers over the age of 25 Yrs, who want to compete with other people of their own age, and the standard continues to get higher and higher each year.


     
    Maidstone swimmers led by team captain Len Mooney (centre left - who achieved an individual Gold in the 50m Backstroke & Silver in the 50m Butterfly), where ably supported by Nigel Perrin (far left), Matthew Palmer (centre right), and Stephen Buckland (far right).  But for a number of 4th place finishes the medal haul could have been even higher, and the team are already planning to return for next years competition.

Rosanna Arnold achieved a national qualifing time in the 200m breaststroke at the Beckenham Open on the 11th May.

Southeast Region 4th and 5th May

Well Done to Millie Collett, Jenna Pilcher and Olliver Jenkins who all swam at K2 Crawley on the 4th May, all swam 50m Backstroke, Millie 35.66 Jenna 35.65 Olliver 31.22  Long course times. 50m breaststroke 5th May - Well done Amber Gibbs 40.09 and Andrew Jenkins 35.37.

Note that we are now using a new system which uses its own set of disqualification codes. A short guide to the new codes is available here.

Maidstone Runners

2013-Maidstone-RunnersPlease support the Maidstone Runners, Steve White, Justin Figgett, Paul Chilman and Ian Stanhope, who have courageously (madly) offered to run the Edinburgh Marathon in May 2013 to raise funds for the club and help to reduce the cost for the Lignano Italy trip in October 2013.

Please support their massive efforts and sacrifices with any size donation accepted as every penny will help, all money raised will ultimately benefit the swimmers of Maidstone Swimming Club

Kent county championships 2013- results

Well done to all three Maidstone swimmers that competed yesterday in the 800m freestyle at Crystal Palace National Sports Centre. Verity Adams 10.55.68 (LC) 10.46.88 (SC), Rosanna Arnold 10.38.18 (LC) 10.29.18 (SC) and Erin Humphrey 11.28.16(LC) 11.19.76(SC).

 Erin got 6th place in her age group, Rosie did a personal best time to gain a Southeast region time.

 

A good weekend at the Kents , well done to Erin Humphreys 6th 400m Freestyle,5th 100m Backstroke,  Ben Tritton 5th 100m Fly, Lauren Askcome 4th  200m Freestyle, 3rd 200m Fly, 2nd 50m Breaststroke, Rosie Arnold 3rd 50m Breaststroke, and Amber Gibbs also 3rd in the same event, Amber also achieved a South East Region time.

Well done Millie Collett and Jenna Pilcher for gaining Southeast Region times in the 50m backstroke.
